fashion friday...picnic pretty

Hi FRIENDS!  It's Friday which means here at Simply Splendid LOVE and I'm linking up again with the lovely {av} at long distance loving for my Friday's Fancies.

Today's Friday's Fancies is "picnic pampered".  Picnics are a romantic date.  Spring is the perfect time to find a local park, garden or lawn to have a picnic with your special someone.  Mr. H and I have a date jar and one of our dates is a picnic at the Arboretum.  I think we need to make this date happen soon while it's beautiful outside!

Even though a picnic is a casual activity, you can still look amazing!  Find a cute dress or a breezy top and add some accessories for a fun picnic outfit.

Mr. H and I tried a new recipe tonight that I found the other day on Adventures of Newlyweds.  If you haven't checked out Ashley's blog, I'd totally recommend it.

We made pesto pork loin and it was so yummy!  We paired it with broccoli and herb potatoes for a delicious meal.

(I'm sorry these pictures doesn't look as yummy as it actually was.  I just took a quick pic before I devoured it!)

Then of course we had to have dessert.  Mr. H and I love dessert!!  I made a quick instant french vanilla pudding and then topped it off with fresh sliced bananas, fat free whipped cream and reduced fat nilla wafers.  It's healthy right????  :)

This weekend, grab your friends, boyfriend or husband and go have a picnic date!  Enjoy the weather and each other's company while eating some yummy foods and looking fabulous!!!

Happy weekend FRIENDS!!
