let's talk bachelorette...final rose!!

Congratulations Emily and Jef!!!

I had to adjust our church schedule so I could watch the Final Rose because I sure wasn't going to miss it!  I am so, so happy with how it turned out!

With all the hype leading up to the final episode I think we were all a little weary of what the outcome would be.  I believe a fellow blogger commented a few weeks ago and predicted that she would send one guy home before the could propose.  Once she mentioned that I totally agreed!

Jef- I am so happy for you and Emily!  I think you are super genuine and honestly have Emily and Ricki's best interest at heart.  I love how you are so good with words and how you talk to Emily.  You did an amazing job at interacting with Ricki and I'm so happy that Emily was able to let you meet her.  I think it would have been hard for both you and Emily to move to the engagement phase if that hadn't taken place.  I truly think this relationship can work.  I think it's so different than any other we've seen.  I think you specifically are totally in it for love and not at all about the fame!  Congrats Jef and I can't wait to hear how your relationship progresses!!!

Now, let's walk down memory lane...

The first introduction.  You could tell that Jef was a cool guy from the moment we first saw him.  Riding up on a skate board showed his fun side and he wasn't cheesy at all.

I think this is when Emily said she wished he would have kissed her.  You can see in her face how much she like him.  I think it was better that he waited personally.  He drew her in and made her want him even more.  Then, in London when he did kiss her, it made it that much more special!

Remember this episode when they had to compete with each other?  A little foreshadowing to the final episode with Jef vs. Arie.

Arie- Now Arie, I think you are an awesome guy!  You truly loved Emily and it showed.  It's one of those things though where she had to pick one over the other and if you could see what we saw with Jef, I think you would agree with her decision.  I'm sure you'll make one lucky girl really happy!  And frankly, I think you and Emily would have worked out, but I'm not sure how Ricki would have fit in.  Best of luck Arie!

I'm a little puzzled as to why ABC chose to have the proposal site in the little village surrounded by flowers.  I mean they are in Curacao and they beach was amazing!!!!!!  I'm just saying, if I were Emily, I'd much rather prefer to have the setting be a picture perfect beach setting than a random village.  How amazing would that have been???

I LOVED Emily's season and I can't wait to find out who the next Bachelor will be.  Sean anyone???? And I'm clearly going to watch Bachelor Pad too.  Anything Bachelor is a guilty pleasure of mine!

What did YOU think?

Will YOU be watching Bachelor Pad?

Who do YOU think the next Bachelor will be?

let's talk bachelorette

I'm so proud of my top three guys making it this far!!!!

LIKES
(I want to keep you all!)

Jef-I've liked you for a while, but after every episode I think I can see a real connection between you and Emily.  I think everything you say is so genuine and I honestly think you would be a loving husband to Emily and a fun step-dad to Ricki.  You and Emily had an amazing day and the way you turned down the fantasy suite was so respectful and makes me like you even more!  Emily would be more than lucky to have you as her husband.

Sean-I think the world was in shock when Emily sent you home last night.  I honestly don't think Emily explained exactly why she sent you home.  The only think I can think of is that she saw something more with Jef and Arie.  I think you and Emily would have made a perfect couple and I would have loved to share my city with you too.  I have an awesome friend who will be perfect for you!  I'm sure you read my blog so just send me a message and I'll hook you up.

Arie-I have liked you from the start.  There is obviously a strong physical connection between you and Emily.  Honestly, I thought you would be the one to go home.  I thought she would see that she was missing more of an emotional connection.  Plus to be totally honest, I wasn't thrilled with your family and thought they weren't very warm and welcoming to Emily.  Don't take it personally, I totally like you Arie.  I love how much you care for Emily and want the best for her.  Best of luck Arie!

OKAY, two things: 1) I wish the "Men Tell All" was after the final episode.  I can't stand to wait two weeks until she makes her decision.  2) From the preview of the final episode, it seems as though she doesn't choose either Jef or Arie.  That better not be the case or I'll be very upset.

p.s. What's with the final episode being on Sunday night?  Weird!

Tell me what YOU thought about last night's episode?

Were you SHOCKED Emily sent Sean home?

let's talk bachelorette

Hey ladies!  Did you watch the Bachelorette last night??  I sure did.  We had taco night and Bachelorette watching.  It was an awesome night.

Okay, home dates are great because it's such a good way for Emily to see if she fits into one of these guy's families.  You can also tell more about a guy by the way he acts around his family.  Meeting the parents, siblings can always bring a few awkward moments.

p.s. I finally narrowed down my top three to the top two.

LIKES
(I give you a rose!!)
Sean-OMG, Sean I can't even believe the trick you pulled on Emily.  I thought for sure you were a goner if you lived at home, had your mom clean your room and lived like a pig.  I was like NOOOOO...that was by far the best little trick ever.  I have to say your dad is just the sweetest thing.  I'd love him to be my father-in-law.  I can see Emily and Ricki fitting in very nicely with you and your family.  Sean, I think you have a very good shot at becoming Emily's wife.

Jef-You looked super hot on the ranch.  I love it that Emily secretly didn't know how to hold a gun.  That was a sweet little move on her part.  And your note Jef...wow you sure know how to write your way into a woman's heart.  That was so sweet and I can tell it was really genuine.  You have a big family and at first it seemed intimidating for Emily, but I think they were very welcoming.  I love your laid back, fun, outgoing attitude and I agree that it compliments Emily nicely.  Jef, you better be on your game next week...Sean and Emily have a very deep connection too.

(Lonesome taxi ride home...see ya later!)

Chris-I wasn't rooting for you this episode I must admit.  I think you acted awkward around Emily (maybe every girl, who knows).  You were fidgety and just seemed uncomfortable.  I completely see why Emily sent you home.  I think she has a deeper connection with these three other guys.  Plus the way you acted around her after she sent you home was very uncalled for.  If you were truly "in love" with Emily, you would have simply wished the best for her and ended it at that.  I think it's safe to say Chris that you were just not mature enough to be in this serious of a relationship.  I don't think you are ready to be a husband and for sure NOT a father to a little girl.  Best of luck...you have some great qualities, but you need a little tweaking.

Arie-I hate that you've made into my dislikes Arie!  I actually still like you...don't get me wrong.  It's just that I see more with Sean and Jef.  I also did NOT like your family.  I mean it was so awkward for Emily to have everyone in the room speaking a different language.  That was very uncalled for and I'm glad you finally caught on.  I just can't see Emily enjoying coming to visit your family and connecting with them.  Who knows though, I could be wrong.  We'll just have to see.

Best of luck next week Sean, Jef and Arie.  Ya'll were my top favorites for a quite some time so I'd be happy for Emily to have any one of you!  Wow, I don't know how Emily will decide.  It's going to be a rough ride.  Until next time...

Speaking of Meghan...she's one of my sponsors this month.  Let me introduce you to the super sweet Megan from More from Meg.  As you can tell by her link up, she's a pretty awesome chick who loves some reality TV.

Hi Blog Friends!

I'm a twenty-something newly married girl living in beautiful Indianapolis, IN. I went to college at the University of Indianapolis and graduated in 2007 with a major in Marketing.

I've had a lot of blogging experience - not only do I read a lot of blogs, but I used to work for a blogging software company and had to blog quite a bit! And truth be told, I miss it a little bit and that's what has sparked my interest in starting my blog. I love to spend time with our yellow lab, traveling, working out, reading, planning, organizing, and crafting! I am always on the go, and rarely do I have any patience! :) My husband and I are somewhat newlyweds (married for almost 3 years - not sure how long you can have that newlywed title), we moved into our first home in 2010 and I feel like I'm still decorating and making it "ours", but I'm loving every minute of it.

My husband, my brother in-law, and myself have a marketing consulting and business development company - I love working from home and being responsible for something that we built! Now I know what you're thinking - is it hard working with your husband and family? Nope, they make it easy! We are growing rapidly and that has been the main focus in our lives for some time now - even though we always seem busy, I wouldn't change it!

Now go check out Meg's blog!

Have a great Tuesday FRIENDS!

let's talk bachelorette

I love the Bachelorette and Bachelor!!  I don't know what it is about the show...I mean the success rate is like 2%.  I guess I'm just a hopeless romantic and I love watching love stories.  Plus I love me some drama.

Let's get started.  So as I predicted...abc was totally blowing the whole Arie thing out of proportion.  Thank you abc for tricking us, but I didn't fall for it.

LIKES
(I give you a rose...make it two!)

Man, this far into the season and I'm still undecided as to who my top favorite guy is.  It's still a triple tie between Jef, Sean and Arie.  All have great qualities and there are things about each that I totally love.

Jef-Okay, Jef I totally loved your date with Emily.  I loved watching you and Emily play with the puppets.  I died laughing when you said "I like your nail polish."  You are just so funny and I think you and Emily would have a fun time together.  I see what she means when she says you would make a great dad because you act like a big kid yourself.  But, I can totally see that when the time comes you can be mature and serious.  I'm a fan.

Sean-I keep falling more in love with you.  Wow, pretty impressive that you "snuck" out to go find Emily after her date with Wolf.  I mean the kiss in the street was so hot.  Any girl would be luck to be on the other end of your lips!!  Haha.  I love how you swoop Emily up in your arms and make her feel protected, comforted and loved.  You're quickly becoming my number one...and you're from Dallas so how can I not like you!!!

Arie-I'm so glad you didn't have a scandalous relationship with the producer.  I would have been so disappointed because I really like you.  I loved your boat date with Emily watching the fireworks on the water...wow, so romantic!  Jef and Sean are coming up close man, you better step it up!

(Lonesome taxi ride home.  Bye-Bye!)

Doug-OMG, there are no words for how awkward you made me feel when you kissed Emily.  I can't even imagine how awkward it was for her.  Wow, that will go down  as one of the most uncomfortable kisses on Bachelorette history.  It is about time Emily finally sent you home.  I'm sorry Doug, but there was no connection between you and Emily.  I have no idea how you made it so long.  I hope you enjoyed seeing your son again.  Word of advice for the future, women like affection.  Hold her hand, put your arm around her, let her know you are into her...women love that.  Good luck finding your woman.

John-I'm sorry, but you did nothing for me this episode and I can totally see why Emily sent you home.  Like I told Doug, it's about time.  You were just too cocky in the end and it totally bit you in the hinny. I don't really know what else to say because I don't even know you...probably how Emily felt.  Good luck buddy.

Chris-I used to like you Chris, but I totally think you are whinny and just plain annoying.  I mean all the other guys are in your situation and you don't see them crying because they got the group date.  Suck it up and enjoy your time with Emily.  I don't think you should have gotten a rose either, but I only think it's a matter of time before you are voted off.  Be a big boy and stop pouting.

I am so excited about next week's episode.  Meeting the family is a big deal and you can totally find a lot about someone with how they act around their family, what their family says about them and just how their family is.  We've seen lots of crazy family's on the Bachelor/Bachelorette so I'm super pumped about these four guy's families.

p.s. Sean, while you are here in Dallas, feel free to stop by and say hi!  Mr. H and I would love to join you and Emily for a double date.  I'm just sayin'!

let's talk bachelorette

Where do I start???  Tonight was another interesting episode of the Bachelorette that ended in a surprising turn of events.  Lets just say I was not happy with how things ended.  I'll explain later.

Look at these hotties!  I mean seriously, they all look better in a skirt and knee high than I would.  Now that's just wrong.  Anyways, poor Chris gave it 110% but was absolutely terrible at all the events!  I'm glad Emily gave him the brave cup or whatever it was called.  He totally tried and did it all for her.  I actually like Chris and felt pretty bad that he lost at everything.  However, he's a buff guy, I kind of find it hard to believe he couldn't do anything athletic.  Could this have been an abc move?  Who knows.

This week my feelings are growing stronger for Jef, Arie and Sean so I can only imagine how strong Emily's feelings are.  These guys are still my top favorites!!  I love their relationships with Emily and for sure see chemistry with all three.

LIKES
(I give you a rose!)

Jef-I agree with lots of others that you're on the younger side; HOWEVER, I think you're still so real and into Emily.  Plus you're for sure a cutie!  I did notice that you say, "I feel like..." a lot.  Anyone else notice this?  At the same time though, if you're going to tell me how you are feeling and it's good...I'd listen all day long.

Sean-You grow on me each week.  I've got to say I'm falling for you too.  You were the best looking out of all the guys in kilts-I'm not gonna lie.  Plus I love the connection you and Emily share.  I think you would make a great husband to Emily.  And boy would guys have the most beautiful children!!

Arie-I've been a fan of you for a while and I think you totally stepped it up this week.  Arie, way to go  check on Emily to see how she's feeling after eliminating Looser Ryan!  Oh and btw, you are the first one of the guys to get into bed with Emily's!  Ha.  You should feel pretty lucky!!  That street kiss you gave Emily was so romantic too.  Way to go Arie.

DISLIKE
(Lonesome taxi ride home!)

One down...two more to go!  I totally thought all three were going home this week.  Little did we know what Emily had up her sleeve!  Pretty tricky Emily.

Ryan-FINALLY!!!!!!!!  It's been along time coming, but Emily finally came to her senses!!!  I was so furious at you after Emily told you she wasn't giving you a rose.  I mean you kept trying to manipulate her even after she told you no you kept trying to change her mind.  Give it up Ryan!  Emily will not be your trophy wife.  Take your trophy wife quality list and hit the road!

John-Ok John this is the first time we really see you show any emotion.  While I'm sorry for the loss of your grandparents, I really don't know what the point of you showing that to Emily.  I think you just wanted to shed a tear so she can see your "sensitive side."  I would have preferred it if Emily would have sent you home.  I don't see any connection between you and Emily and frankly she's much further along with other guys so I think you're bound to go home eventually.  However, from next week's preview, it looks like he steals a kiss from Emily.  Uggg.

Doug-There's something not right about you.  While you may seem "perfect" clearly somethings up.  What's with you always looking down when you talk to Emily?  Your conversation with Emily at the rose ceremony was pretty awkward.  She shouldn't have to take your arm and put it around her.  Come on Doug...don't you know how to treat a woman??  I'm sorry Doug, but it's only a matter of time before you're out of here.

I can't believe Emily kept both John and Doug at the rose ceremony!  I was totally shocked by her decision.  Whatever Emily...you'll find out soon enough that Arie, Sean or Jef is the one for you.  Heck take all three!  :)

Why is it that this show is so addicting?  I'm always enticed to keep watching and always can't wait until the next episode!!

What do you think of Reality Steve or spoiler sites?  Do you like to know what's going to happen?  I can't stand finding out what will happen!!!!!!  I don't want to know ANYTHING!  I mean what's the point of watching if you already know what will happen.  That's no fun.

Until next Monday...

lets talk bachelorette

It's Tuesday, which means last night was The Bachelorette and you better believe I was watching!  I watched the first half with some of my girl friends and the second half at home by myself.  While it's fun to watch with others to chat about the drama, I hate to admit I like to watch it alone (or with Mr. H) because I like to really listen and watch.  Haha.  I like to catch every second!

Here's a breakdown of my top likes and top dislikes of the remaining 9 guys!  I approve of Emily's decision to send Alejandro home.  I mean who was he?  I think he maybe had 42 minutes of camera time with her since the premiere.

LIKES
(I give you a rose)

Jef: Jef and Emily really connected last night and had a great evening that ended with a sweet kiss.  I love how genuine he is with Emily and I feel he truly has the right intentions.

Sean: I didn't like Sean from the start, but after last week he's made a big turn in my book.  I mean being a Dallas girl myself, I can say that us Dallas folks just know how to be awesome!  He is very sweet to Emily and the would make some beautiful babies.

Arie: Arie is just handsome and he honestly cares for her.  I think he made a bad judgement call in not being the one to mention that Kalon was a sleaze bag, but I get that he didn't want to get into other relationships, but really!  Arie needs to step it up.  I like him and don't want to see him get kicked off just yet.

DISLIKE
(Lonesome taxi ride home)

Ryan: Okay, I don't even know where to start with Ryan.  He's totally the guy you want to hate...he knows it, and he likes it!  He makes me crazy and the comment he made last week about being the next Bachelor.  Emily needs to send him to the curb or she's going to get hurt.  She knows the guy he is and she's falling into his trap.  Dear Emily, beware of Ryan.  He's a creep and is totally playing you.  Oh and he's loving every moment of it.  -Devoted Watcher

John: There aren't a lot of reasons why I don't like John, but who calls them self  "Wolf"???  He hasn't done anything amazing to make me fall in love with him so I can only assume Emily feels the same way.

Doug: Doug seems like an outstanding guy.  I'm not going to lie.  But he has a kid and it just seems like baggage.  Ha.  JK.  There's something about him that I just don't like.  I honestly don't see a real spark between Emily and Doug.  He's sweet an all, but ehhhh I'm not feeling it.

So there you have it.  Those are my top picks this episode.  I love it once it gets more into the season so we get to know the guys better and relationships begin to grow.  Can't wait to see what next week brings!!
