let's talk bachelor pad...

Another eventful Bachelor Pad season comes to an end.  And let me just say I am NOT happy.

Toni and Blakely- What a surprising turn of events.  How exciting that you found love from the Bachelor Pad.  Toni, you truly seem like an outstanding gentleman and a perfect match for an outspoken Blakely.  It seems as though you both really compliment each other.  If you can be your true self around him and he makes you feel comfortable then it seems like a wonderful pair.  Best of luck you two!! At least there was some good out of the season finale.  

Chris and Sarah-I am just so happy y'all didn't win!!!!!!  I am so proud of your family and friends Chris for speaking their mind and putting you in your place.  Someone needs to tell you that you were a jerk and your actions were terrible!  If I were your parents, I'd be very disappointed in the way you acted because you were clearly not raised like that.  And Sarah, what were you doing sticking by his side????  You should have know this partnership was a failure.  And nothing was ever discussed about where y'all currently stand...are y'all a couple still or what??  

Nick and Rachel- Okay, what the heck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Nick, how in the WORLD did you win and how in the WORLD could you not "share" the winnings with Rachel?????????  I mean seriously.  You did not "play the game well"  it was all lucky that you never got voted off.  And you sooooo did not want to be in a partnership with Rachel.  It just turned out that way!  I can't believe you think you brought yourself to the end.  Really??  Rachel, I would be furious!!!!!!  I felt soooo bad for you and would have reacted the same way.  You were going to do the right thing so that each of you could win $$ and share the winnings.  Nick totally played you in the end and that's where I think it's incredibly selfish of him!  THEN on top of how he acted after the reveal, he just walks off stage and exits in his limo without even explaining himself.  What a coward!!! He clearly knew he was in the wrong or he would have confronted you.  Wow!  I just can't believe it.  And what was with the audience clapping for him.  OMG I would have been booing!!!!!  LOUD!  I'm so sorry for all that happened on the show Rachel, but you put up a good fight until the end.  If you can find true love, you won't even need the money.  Best of luck Rachel!!!!  I have no final words for you Nick.  

If you can't tell I was NOT happy with the final results of the show.  I'm just glad it's over.  This season was not my favorite for sure.  Until January when a new Bachelor will be revealed.  Who will it be??  I can't wait until he's reviled!!

Summer TV shows are officially over and I'm SOOOO excited for the fall shows to start.  Yea!

let's talk bachelor pad PLUS labor day recap

How come long weekends always go by so fast?  Mr. H and I had a fun, relaxing weekend at the lake. We enjoyed family time, boat ride, good food, skip bo, mexican train, yummy homemade ice cream, sleeping in, lounging and an extra day to do nothing!

1. Mexican train is for sure one of my favorite games.  It's a super fun domino game we play all the time at the lake.  It's sort of similar to chicken feet if you've ever played that.  

2. Mr. H wanted to create a logo or brand for the lake house.  Here's what he came up with and I designed it in Photoshop.  He made sample cozies and took them to the lake to she the in laws.  They were a hit.  We'll be making more stuff with the cool logo.

3. Okay, I know what you are thinking.  Cheetos are so bad for you.  I know that.  I didn't buy them and I didn't request them; however, it doesn't mean I won't snack on a few!  They bring back memories of my childhood.  And for sure the puffs are better than the crunchy ones...Mr. H would disagree.  We don't buy them for in our family so it doesn't even matter.  Haha.

4. Mr. H and I on the boat.  We only got out on the boat once (if you can believe it).  The water was so choppy it wasn't even an enjoyable ride.  I was holding an ice tea and most of it ended up all over me because it was so bumpy.  

We got home and I was so excited for another episode of Bachelor Pad.  After the last few episodes, I've been a little disappointed this season; however, that has not stopped me from watching.  I'm very anxious to find out how it will all end.  

The first competition was okay, but the sining competition was insane.  I would have died...literally. I do NOT sing in front of people so this would have been terrifying to me!!!  I give props to each of them for giving it their best shot.  

Is it just me or did anyone else not know the "most famous rock song of all times?"  I mean I wish they would have done a more popular song...perhaps something pop.  I'm sure Night Rider or whoever was all they could afford.

Nick and Rachel- I'm actually excited for you Rachel that you made it this far.  You are certainly my favorite of the top 8.  Nick, I feel like you had it really easy and it's sort of not fair that you made it in the top.  Y'all did for sure have the best performance so hats off to you two!

Chris and Sarah- How do you both keep winning?  I'm so glad y'all didn't win the singing competition though, y'alls performance was not so good and the singing was for sure not.  I REALLY do NOT want y'all to win.  When I say y'all I really mean Chris.

Tony and Blakeley- It's a shame you went home Tony.  I think you deserved to be in the top 4.  Blakeley, I hate to say this, but I'm glad you are gone.  You were always a little annoying to me.  Although, I'm with you in hoping Chris does NOT win!!  I hope y'alls relationship makes it.  The journey would have all been worth it!

Ed and Jaclyn- Words cannot describe how horrible your performance was.  I mean really.  Jaclyn, I don't understand why you are getting all worked up about your friendship with Rachel.  It's a competition and there is only one winner.  You should be happy for your friend.  It's very childish to say she might as well be dead to you.  That's just stupid.  Ed, you were for sure entertaining this season, but I am glad you didn't make it to the end.  After your season with Jillian and hearing what went down, I just don't have a lot of respect for you.  AND not to mention how you handled your "hook up" with Jaclyn.  

Seeing the previews makes me SOOOOOOOOO excited for the season finale next Monday.  Something crazy happens and even Chris Harrison is surprised.  They have left me in suspense and I can't wait!  

p.s. If you know what happens in the finale...PLEASE DON'T TELL ME!!!!  I like to be surprised.  Thanks!

Ever since last week, I'm over Bachelor Pad...yet I'm still watching.  I just don't really like anyone left.  They are all annoying.  I'm disappointed in the selection that is left and I could careless who wins as long as Chris doesn't win.

Here's my take on the couples/partnerships:

Chris and Sarah- I still can't believe they got saved last week.  And then this week they win the spelling bee challenge...wow.  Talk about lucky.  It's so funny to me that Chris still talks about how the break up with Emily is still hard on him, yet he's hooked up with half the girls on Bachelor Pad.  Keep telling yourself that Chris.  

Tony and Blakely- Talk about the most unlikely couple in the house.  Tony, you seem way to sweet of a guy to be with Blakeley.  Blakely, if you don't make enough as a "VIP waitress" to afford cable then I'd suggest getting a different job.  It's just a suggestion.  I'd bet money this couple doesn't last past the show...if that.

Nick and Rachel- Nick, what are you still doing here?  You are one lucky guy.  I feel sorry for Rachel for having to be your partner.  You almost caused the house to vote y'all off.  Nick, I'm totally wishing Michael was in your place because he should still be in the game for sure!  I'm glad you stuck it out Rachel.  Hopefully you can win this game.  You are by far my favorite one left.  Hang in there girl.    

Ed and Jaclyn- What in the world is going on with you two?  Ed, you are a sleaze ball and Jaclyn I can't believe you are going to continue going along with this.  I felt sorry for you for like half a second and then ven when you found out he was seeing someone back home you still act like you are a "couple." Whatever, I guess you are just meant for each other then.  

Kalon and Lindzi- I guess I'm happy y'all found love.  The only one playing the game in this partnership was Kalon.  Lindzi, I think we heard you say maybe five words the entire time you were on the show.  You are lucky you were partnered with Kalon or you would have been kicked off much earlier.  I hear you two are still together so I'm happy about that.  Everyone deserves log.

Okay, if you watched Bachelor Pad I bet you can guess what I'm going to say...I'm sooooooooooooo sad that Michael is gone!!!!  The challenge this week I thought was pretty stupid: stacking cups and saucers....that's just boring.  The real game took place in the house among the contestants left.  Anything can happen and the worst totally did!

Rachel- You and Michael make a sweet couple.  You found a real catch girl so hold on to him for sure!!  I don't know what to tell you about how to survive without him now.  I probably would have left with him.  I'm rooting for you girl in the show, but mostly in your relationship with Michael.

Michael- Okay, I am seriously sad right now.  You remind me a lot of my Michael (Mr. H): handsome, witty, fun, sweet, kind hearted and silly.  I am not sure how the house will survive without you.  You really were playing the game all the way.  I know voting Erica off was hard for you, but it's a game so you did what you had to do.  I don't blame you at all!  You better take care of Rachel.  She likes you a lot.

Lindzi- I still don't know how I feel about you and Kalon.  I still don't like him so it's hard for me to like y'all together.  You are just so sweet and he's well....you know.  I'm glad you got to have a date with him though.  I honestly, for your sake, hope he's being real with you.  Watch your back is all I have to say.

Kalon- You better take good care of Lindzi.  Because she's so sweet, she could easily be taken advantage of, but you better not be!  I hope you really do have good intentions.  I'd much rather see you find love with Lindzi than win the money!!!  

Chris- Why are you still here and Michael is gone?!?!?!?!?!?!  That is totally not cool.  You are sooooo annoying and no one in the house wants you there.  I think abc knew how it was going to go down so they created a new twist to shake things up.  That's not cool abc and Chris you sure got lucky.  I'd be careful because the house still doesn't like you.  Sarah is all you have and I hope she realizes how much of a looser you are before it's too late for her too.  p.s. I'm only harsh because it's true.

Sarah- What are you doing with Chris???????  I mean he's just going to drag you down.  You don't have an alliance now so you better beware.  

Erica- How were you still on the show???  You are always so ridiculous and you don't even really try at the challenges.  What's with that gavel?  I am beyond sad that you sent Michael home.  He played the game and kept you WAY longer than you deserved to be there.  You were being selfish and took it out on someone that should have been kept in the game.  I'm over you...see ya!

It's going to get really crazy next week.  I am curious to know how it's going to go down now that Michael is gone.  It really shook things up.  And poor Rachel, now abc decides to have everyone couple up.  That's just wrong!  As always, I am hooked.

Mr. H made us the most amazing ribs EVER! p.s. The picture doesn't do the ribs justice...I was too excited to eat them and didn't want to waste time photographing then.  Literally, the meat feel off the bone.  It's safe to say he's a better cook AND baker than me.  Did I do good or what?!?!?!?

He seasoned them with salt, pepper and a blend of season called fiery 5 peppers.  He then cooked them in the crock pot for 6 hours and then let it rest in there for an additional hour.  We weren't eating them until last night so he wrapped them in foil and put them in the fridge.  Then last night, I took half out and put them in a pan and put BBQ sauce over them.  I heated them in the oven for about 30 minutes on 300 degrees.  Since they were already cooked, I just wanted to warm them up. 

I had left over pinto beans from the BBQ pot luck we had last week and then I made some corn on the cob and added some of the yummy pepper seasoning.  Wow, it was the best meal ever.  We'll certainly be adding this meal to our favorites.  It was so easy to prepare tonight because all I had to do was heat everything up.  It doesn't get easier than that!

That's right...I'm not only a fan of the Bachelor/Bachelorette, but also the Bachelor Pad!  How can you not like this show?  It's like watching a train wreck every week.  Ha.

What an interesting obstacle course.  If you're going to get messy in something it might as well be ice cream and sundae toppings!  

I personally think Michael should have one over Dave, but whatever.

Here's the love triangle of the house: Jessica, Chris and Blakeley.  Here's a tip to Jessica and Blakelely...RUN!

Jessica-All I can think about when I see you is how awkward you were on Ben's season when you described how your first kiss would happen.  That's just not cool.  I hope you learned your lesson.  And just a tip, I don't think Chris is really that into you.  

Chris-Wow!  If the Bachelor Pad came on before the Bachelorette, I think Emily would have eliminated you on the first night.  It's safe to say Chris that you are NOT ready for a committed relationship.  

Blakeley-I don't mean this to sound bad, but I wish you were voted off last night.  You are a little annoying to me.  I mean you are 34 and you act like you are 16.  

Lindzi-Lindzi, Lindzi...what are you thinking getting cozy with Kalon.  He is NOT a good guy.  You are WAY to sweet to be liking someone like him.  He's just full of himself an I hate to see such a sweet girl fall for a looser like Kalon.  I warned you!

Kalon-Stay away from Lindzi, she's too good for you.  Enough said!

Rachel-Congrats on winning the obstacle course.  And even bigger congrats for getting Michael to fall for you!  Well done!!!!!!  

Michael-Thank you for coming back on the show Michael.  You are still my favorite and I hope you win again...maybe even find the girl of your dreams (Rachel if that's who you choose.)  Not only are you super cute, but you are sooooo funny.  I laugh every time you talk.  Ha.  

Reid-I can't believe you got yourself kicked off!  Uggg.  I really liked you.  I know you hated Ed...who doesn't, but you should have been a little smarter in the game.  I'm so sad you won't be bringing a smile to my face next week, but I'll be thinking of you the whole time.  I hope you find the girl of your dreams.  

Ed-OMG, you are so crazy.  I wish you would have been voted off instead of my dear friend Reid!  Jillian was SOOOOOOO smart to call off the engagement.  You are still a collage frat boy who wants to drink and hook up with girls.  That is not husband material.  Two weeks in a row you were on the chopping block.  Hopefully third times the charm.
