Happy 100th birthday Friday's Fancies!  I've put together two party outfits to celebrate the occasion.

I know this dress is pretty bold, but I think it's super fun!  I paired it with classic accessories to make it elegant and chic.

I took the little back dress and went fun and funky.  If you don't know already I love the color combo black and hot pink-what girl doesn't right?.  I paired this dress with a multi-colored glitter clutch that I'm dying to own.  I would totally wear this to a fun party or dressy occasion...New Year's Eve maybe??

Let me say I'm sorry for the lack of blog posts recently.  I've gotten really busy lately then Mr. H and I got a terrible stomach bug this week.  It's not been good!  I'm so happy it's Friday, but I'll be working most of the weekend.  I get to photograph three awesome families.

I do have a few exciting announcements to share AND I still need to show you my new brown boots.  I haven't taken them out of the box since I bought them two weeks ago.  Ha.  I am still trying to decide if I want to keep them.  Have a fun weekend and let's party!

fashion friday...costume prep

It's FRIDAY!  I know what you're thinking...it's not Halloween yet.  Of course I know that; however, I thought I'd share with you some Halloween inspiration since it's just around the corner.  

I've actually never been much into celebrating Halloween.  As a kid, my family would go to a church carnival type of event.  It was fun and honestly all I cared about was the candy.  Ha.  To this day that's the best part for me.  For me, I'd rather skip Halloween and go straight to Thanksgiving and Christmas!!!

In the even I would go to a Costume Party, I would totally love to be CAT WOMAN.  I mean who wouldn't want to at some point.  If I felt I could rock these faux leather leggings, I'd totally be Cat woman just because!

Chic Black and Orange

If you aren't into dressing up for Halloween (like me), you can still dress for the occasion in black and orange.  Black and orange can be a scary combination any other time of year because you'll instantly think of Halloween...so it's the perfect time of year to be bold.  Then after Halloween you can wear this outfit with different pants/earrings.

It's been another LONG week.  I'm soooooo happy to have Mr. H home with me this week!!!!!!!!  I wish it hasn't been such a busy week though because I don't feel like we've had too much us time.

This week, Friday's Fancies is all about dressing in fall leaf colors.  I typically like brighter colors so this was a little challenging for me; however, I still managed to put together two fun outfits in fall leaf colors.

Mr. H and I are headed to the lake for the weekend with our friend Mel.  I wish I could say I'm off to the lake for a relaxing weekend, but I'll actually be editing pictures most of it.  At least I'll be in a peaceful place.  Hopefully it will be a little chilly so we can sit outside by the fire pit and make s'mores.  Yummy!  It will still be a fun time...can't wait!

It's FINALLY Friday!!!  I have no idea why, but this week has been the longest week for me.  And on top of that...Mr. H left early yesterday morning for five days.  He's in Canada with his brother and dad hunting.  While I'm excited for him to have time away and to build memories with his family, I'm super sad he's gone.  It's going to be a long few days without him.  I don't like it when my best friend is gone.  Anyways...

Today's Friday's Fancies is all about being monotone.  Don't worry, monotone doesn't have to be boring.  I put together a few outfits I'd totally wear.

I want to give a birthday shout out to my sweet friend Lauren!  We get to have lunch to celebrate her birthday today.  I'm so excited!  And get this...her husband is planning a weekend birthday surprise.  I'm almost as excited as she is.  Happy Birthday Lauren!!  So blessed to have you in my life.

While I'm super bummed I won't be hanging out with Mr. H this weekend, I'll be busing taking pictures  AND I will be shopping with a friend on Saturday.  I can't WAIT to pick up some new fall clothes!!!!

It's Friday again and I'm so happy!  I've been finding lots of amazing outfit inspiration on pinterest lately.  Today's Friday's Fancies is perfect because it's all about an outfit crush.  I have lots, but narrowed it down to two.

I'm so happy bright colors are sticking around for fall.  Hot pink is a favorite color of mine to wear and I love it paired with turquoise.  This is a super chic outfit for a causal outing with friends or a fun date night with the hubs.

fashion friday...fall into fall

Here we are again...it's FRIDAY!  Today is all about FALL.  While the cool weather has yet to come to Texas, I anticipate it's arrive.  Summer is my favorite time of year; however, there are things about fall that I love to wear.  Here's a list of some of my favorite fall must haves.  My favorites are boots and coats.  I'm a little obsessed with coats.  It's funny how I feel like I need a new one every year.  It's only really cold here like one month out of the year.

I love how color is sticking around for the fall!  That's one thing I don't like about the fall is all the darker jewel tones.  This color combo was popular in the spring, but for a fall look I paired these cords with brown leather boots with matching accessories.

One of my absolute favorite looks for the fall is a long sweater dress paired with leggings.  Leggings are so comfy so I always find myself drawn towards them in the fall.  I love how easily they can be dressed up or down depending on the dress or shoe.

I've always loved animal prints.  While I think it's acceptable year round, I personally think the best time to rock animal prints is in the fall.  There's something about it that screams fall to me.

Oh how I'm wishing Mr. H and I were headed to the Mansion again this weekend.  We had such a fun time.  I can dream.  This weekend is already a busy one.  Don't you love it how you hope you'll have nothing to do, but it turns out to be super busy?  It's going to be fun, just packed with activities.

One very special activity will be celebrating our nephew's 2nd birthday!  Mr. Bentley turns 2 years old on Sunday.  He's our only nephew and I'm obsessed with him.  We're having a family get together on his birthday to celebrate and then his party is the following weekend.  Mr. Bentley, you sure are loved by so many people!

It's September so it officially means back to school.  I've been out of school for several years now, but if I was headed back to school, I'd wear something like this.  Comfort is key, flats are essential and you'll of course need a cute tote to carry things in.    

Just because I'm not going to school doesn't mean I can't go back to school shopping right???  I think it's time.

I'm put together another outfit with my favorite colors and bonus...a heart (I love hearts!).  I love these metallic shoes and the Kate Spade watch is so cute too.  Even though I'm not headed to school, I'd totally wear this outfit any day.

I created a fun twist on a classic look: white t-shirt and jeans.  Don't these jeans look so cute?  Too bad they are a little out of my price range.  I paired them with a bright scarf and a bold bag to make this plain outfit pop.

This is a VERY special weekend for Mr. H and I.  We'll be celebrating our anniversary on Monday.  We have plans to stay at the same hotel we stayed at on our wedding night on Sunday and then we both took off work on Monday too.  Mr. H made us dinner reservations at the hotel restaurant, which is amazing.  We'll get dressed up and have a fun date night together.  

Not only will we be celebrating our anniversary, but we'll be celebrating a couple's wedding on Saturday night.  It will be weird being a guest because a year ago we'll have been the bride and groom. Time sure does fly!  

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!  Mr. H and I will be having a wonderful one.

It's a holiday, which means a long weekend ahead.  That makes me very happy!!  Labor Day signifies the end of summer is nearing.  While I'm ready for cooler weather, I am sad that I'll no longer get to wear summer clothes.  I love summer dresses and shorts!!

Today's Friday's Fancies is all about dressing for the Labor Day weekend.  Summer is the perfect time to wear bright, bold colors so both outfits I put together are fun colors.

These two outfits make me wish summer was just starting!  I'll be sad when summer bright colors turn into fall jewel tones.

This Labor Day weekend Mr. H and I are headed to the lake!  We've been so busy this summer we haven't been back since July 4.  I'm looking forward to a lot of relaxing, good food and hanging with the in-laws.

fashion friday...road trip

Happy Friday everyone!  Have you ever gone on a road trip?  I haven't.  I actually hate being in the car for long periods of time.  I just find it really boring and I get antsy.  

Mr. H and I travel four hours to go to the lake during the summer and I can barley handle that drive.  Don't get me wrong, Mr. H is fun to travel with because we talk almost the entire time...I just don't like to be cooped up for a long time.  

In my perfect world, I would love to take a road trip through California with Mr. H and stop at all the best cities.  I've only been to LA once and I'd love to travel and see San Francisco.  Maybe someday Mr. H can talk me into road tripping through California.  

This Friday's Fancies is all about the perfect outfit for a road trip.  Comfort is key when traveling!  I put together two shorts outfits that would be perfect for a road trip...if I ever decide to take a long one I'd for sure wear something like this.  Just because you're traveling doesn't mean you can't look fashionable!

Happy Friday!!  Man do I love the weekends.  They are my favorite time out of the week!

Okay ladies, today's Friday's Fancies is all about summer sunset.  These two outfits I'd wear on a date with Mr. H for a sunset dinner.  I used the colors of the sunset as my inspiration and then added some animal print for extra pizzaz.

This dress is from H&M and I think it needs to be in my closet ASAP.  I love animal print paired with pink.  This outfit would be perfect for a date night with Mr. H.  I 'm always cold in restaurants so I always make sure to carry a cardigan with me.  This one is especially cute because of the rhinestone buttons.

Like the dress from above, this top is from H&M and I think it needs to be in my closet ASAP. It comes in white and light pink so I'd have a hard time deciding on which color.  This would make a cute  outfit for a date with Mr. H out to eat or a night with friends.  I'm nil one with those Michael Kors earrings.

Mr. H and I have a fun night planned.  We will be having an overnight date night!!  We chose a $$ date from our date jar and I am so excited for a mini staycation!  Then, Saturday night we will be helping host a western themed couple's shower for a sweet couple from our Bible study group.  They will be getting married in September!

It's FRIDAY!  I hope everyone made it through the week.  Today's Fashion Friday is all about gingham.  I actually do not own anything gingham and I don't think I ever have.  I just don't think I've found the right piece.  Mr. H might be more in fashion that I am...he actually has more gingham than I have.

It's still summer and I'm for sure feeling the heat!  Both of my outfits are yellow, fun, bright and cheery.
